Sutton County is in the Hill Country wildlife district of Texas and comprises 1,455 square miles of rolling, grassland terrain. The county seat is the town of Sonora, which is about seventy miles south of San Angelo. There are various game species for hunting including White-tailed Deer, Exotics, Javelina, Hog, Quail, Turkey, Predators, Dove and Duck. Attractions include various local festivals and points of interest.
