Starr County Hunting Leases

Starr County is in the South Texas wildlife district with the town of Rio Grande City as its county seat. It comprises 1,226 square miles of generally flat brush country along the border with Mexico. The county has various game species for hunting including White-tailed Deer, Exotics, Predators, Javelina, Hog, Quail, Turkey, Chachalaca, Dove, Crane, Goose and Duck. Attractions include the International Falcon Reservoir, Las Palomas WMA, and various local festivals and points of interest.
