Hays County Hunting Leases

Hays County is in the Hill Country wildlife district of Texas and comprises 694 square miles of the Edwards Plateau and Black Prairie regions. The county seat is the town of San Marcos, which is about twenty-three miles southwest of Austin. There are various game species for hunting including White-tailed Deer, Javelina, Hog, Quail, Turkey, Predators, Dove and Duck. Attractions include the town of Wimberly, the Blanco River, and various local festivals and points of interest.
