Childress County Hunting Leases

Childress County is in the Panhandle/High Plains wildlife district of Texas on the eastern edge of the Panhandle. The county comprises 699 square miles of level to rolling prairies with the town of Childress as its county seat. The county has various game species for hunting including White-tailed Deer, Mule Deer, Pronghorn, Hog, Quail, Pheasant, Turkey, Predators, Dove, Crane, Duck and Goose. Baylor Lake and Lake Childress provide recreational activities as well as various points of interest.
