Walker County Hunting Leases

Walker County is in the East Texas Pineywoods wildlife district of Texas and comprises 801 square miles of rolling prairies and timberland. The town of Huntsville is the county seat and is about sixty miles north of Houston. The county has various game species for hunting including White-tailed Deer, Alligator, Hog, Quail, Turkey, Predators, Dove, and Duck. Recreational activities include the Sam Houston Memorial Museum, Lakes Livingston and Conroe, and various cultural events and points of interest.
