Polk County Hunting Leases

Polk County is in the East Texas Pineywoods wildlife district of Texas and comprises 1,061 square miles of gentle rolling, wooded lands. The town of Livingston is the county seat and is about seventy-six miles northeast of Houston. The county has various game species for hunting including White-tailed Deer, Hog, Quail, Turkey, Predators, Dove, and Duck. Recreational activities include Lake Livingston, Big Thicket National Preserve, and various cultural events and points of interest.
