Whitetail Deer

Lease has selected dates in October/November/December/January. Bow and rifle hunting.  A total of 61 hunting days.  Looking for 2-3 experienced hunters who work well as a team.  Lease is in the Texas Hill Country. Approximately 200 acres of land 5 miles from Fredericksburg, TX. Axis, whitetail, turkey. $20,000 = Lease price. There is a rustic hunters’ cabin on premises with running water, electricity & outhouse.  There is an electric hoist/ gambrel w adjacent water for cleaning and an overhead light for evening work. A creek runs through property. We are interested in a long-term partnership with hunters who plan to renew the lease for multiple years. 

Our ranch has been in our family since 1854 when our descendants arrived from Germany. We are very proud of the ranch and our heritage, and welcome hunters who are experienced and are good stewards of the land.

The parcel is about 30 minutes south of Columbus, OH.  Much of the land in the area is forested, but there's not a lot of hunting as two large metro parks, a county park and three nature preserves are nearby. Combined the parks and preserves account for nearly 6,000 acres of forest where hunting is not allowed or severely limited.

We’re at the end of a dead-end road in one of the few sparsely populated areas. The land was select-cut logged in  2021, that produced open areas and woods with lots of trails. The tree tops left behind helps the whitetail herd as the deer use the downed tree tops for bedding. The deer love the brier tops that are all around the land.

The terrain is rolling hills, making it easy to get around. Walk through the woods and you'll see deer tracks everywhere and an impressive amount of buck rubs and scrapes. The land hasn’t been lived on for at least six years.

We only schedule three hunts during deer hunting season. Choose from archery rut hunts,  gun hunt in December or a muzzleloader hunt in January. Other outfitters typically schedule hunts weekly, every other week, and some outfitters schedule every two weeks.

We give your hunting party - a minimum of four hunters to a maximum of six hunters -  exclusive use of the land on your seven day hunt.  On a  160 acre parcel, other outfitters allow 8 to 10 hunters to hunt on the land - all at the same time. And most of those hunters are strangers - not part of your party. We want our hunters to feel like they are hunting in their own state park with no interference from outsiders. For 2025, all hunts are $1,500 per hunter for a 7 day hunt.

We offer seven day hunts during deer hunting season - for guns, bow and muzzleloader.  Add-on hunting days can be scheduled for deer bow hunting.

In the winter and summer, night time coyote hunts are available.

Accommodations are available off-site at our luxury apartment suite or you can book a hotel room or cabin in the area.

500 acres with feeders and deer blinds that need work. Has a 1000 sq ft brick camp house with central air and heat, water and electricity. Great quality of whitetail deer in terms of horn size and numbers. Family lease and guests are welcomed. Has excellent dove and whitewing hunting as well as great hog hunting. Seven stock tanks with bass and catfish. Total cost of the lease is $13,750.00 for up to 5 management hunters. Long term lease. Can harvest one mature trophy buck, one mature management buck and one mature doe per hunter.

The property is a 24 acre mix of wooded and brush area, with deer frequently crossing the property. Several two day leases for up to 2, maybe 3 people, over the season. Reduced rates for single hunter/hunt team seeking multiple leases over the season. Limit of 2 deer per paid hunter per lease or hunting license limit, whichever is less. There are no blinds or feeder (recently broadcast some feed) (you can use your own popup but leave no trace). Insurance required. Further details are provided in the lease agreement. Open to some meat for hunt barter. No commercial hunting.

Hunters insurance is required and can be acquired through the NRA or other places.

Lease is for first two weeks of deer season through the third weekend (Nov. 1 - November 17). Feeders are filled with corn and blinds are ready to hunt in. Cabin is fully furnished and has central air & heat with 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths and full kitchen. Children can be hunters. Game is whitetail deer, hogs, coyotes & turkey. Normal hunting rate is $200 first day and $150 per each additional consecutive day, per hunter. Hurry while slots are available! The property is 9 acres and fully fenced, and is a mix of wooded/brush areas, clearings, 2 caliche pits, and trails. The property has deer that show up at the feeder (deer corn) most days (does and periodically bucks), hogs, turkey, small game like rabbits, and occasional predators. There are also turkey that that feed at an elevated turkey feeder. In addition to the feeders there is an elevated hunting blind for a single hunter, located about 35 yards from the deer feeder. The property is relatively small, so a single hunter for each lease period using bow or shotgun is preferred. I will allow 2 people as lessees on a single lease, assuming you will be safely working together. But I only allow one lease at a time (your lease would have exclusive use during the term of the lease). Limit of 1 deer or wild turkey per three-day lease period (or permit limit, whichever is less) but no harvest fees. Must remove the entire animal from the property, no carcasses or animal parts are to be disposed of on the property. There is no guarantee that you will be successful in harvesting an animal, the lease provides an opportunity, not a guarantee of success. Prices are $200 per day per hunter, or $350 per person for 2 consecutive days.

Hunt our family-owned property 15 miles from Fredericksburg, and 3 miles from Luckenbach. Hunt approximately 200 acres of low fence on our 500 acre low-fenced property. You will have the option to choose between three blinds. 

One whitetail buck and one whitetail doe are included with each paid gun (not guaranteed).  High-fence Fallow Deer and Blackbucks are also available on a per animal cost.

The Mc4 Ranch is a Cattle, Hunting and Recreational that can be enjoyed by many.  A Family or Company group can spend quality time enjoying hunting, fishing, or just relaxing around the campfire and counting the stars at night.  5,Feeders and Blinds are provided. Three bedroom two bath camp house  with central heat and air, water and electricity.

Base package includes: 10 Trophy WT Bucks, Mgt WT Bucks, WT does, Dove, Turkey, Ducks, Fishing.   Exotics can be hunted at an additional cost per buck  basis. 

MLD WT Season runs October through February

 Coleman Airport has a 4,500 ft paved runway.  Abilene Regional Airport is close.  

For 2025  the lease will be from March 1 through January 31 2026
