The Second Amendment -
"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." - The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
All the First Amendment proponents need to know is that with out the Second, there would not be a First. And, there would be a severely weekend Second if not for the National Rifle Association. Gun Owners of America - GOA was founded in 1976 by the late Sen. H.L. (Bill) Richardson. The GOA Board of Directors brings over 100 years of combined knowledge and experience on guns, legislation and politics. GOA’s Board is not satisfied with the “status quo.” Americans have lost some of our precious gun rights and we want them back! This is why GOA is considered the “no compromise” gun lobby.
The Second Amendment Foundation - The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) is dedicated to promoting a better understanding about our Constitutional heritage to privately own and possess firearms. To that end, we carry on many educational and legal action programs designed to better inform the public about the gun control debate.
Gun Control Witness Video: Suzanne Hupp lost her parents in the 1991 Luby's cafeteria massacre in Killeen, Texas. Hupp, watched as her parents were murdered and escaped while the gunman reloaded. On the day of the shooting, she had left her own gun in her car as prescribed by law. She became an outspoken advocate of the concealed-carry legislation we have in Texas today and testified before congress as seen below on Second Amendment rights. It takes a strong Texas woman to set things strait, and Mrs. Hupp was and did just that. Her final point is one we should all keep in our minds.
