850-acre hunting property available in the Texas Hill Cou
850-acre hunting property available in the Texas Hill Country for the 2026–2027 season with an annual fee of $20,000. Ideal for a group of 4-6 hunters. Long-term lease opportunity may be available for the right group. This property is a working ranch owned and operated by a local family that has been ranching in Menard County since the late 1800s and is located between Menard and Mason on State Highway 29. The terrain offers a diverse mix of mesquite flats, open pasture, cedar brakes, and creek bottom with excellent habitat for whitetail, turkey, dove, duck, and hogs. Elm Creek runs through the center of the property, lined with mature pecan, oak, and elm trees. The ranch is low fenced and includes a large pond, a cement stock tank, and multiple water troughs.
A few blinds and feeder locations are already established, with flexibility to move or add setups as desired. The owner has heavy equipment and is willing to assist with light land clearing for hunting site or food plot development.
The property is surrounded by large ranches and has easy access with two gated entrances directly off Highway 29. There is currently no housing, but self-contained, off-grid RVs are welcome. Additional accommodations or RV hookups may be added in the future. Other lodging options are also available nearby in Menard, Mason, or Brady.
We’re looking to partner with management-minded hunters who are interested in developing and maintaining quality wildlife populations.
Each hunter may harvest:
- 1 trophy whitetail buck
- 1 management whitetail buck
- 2 whitetail does
- 1 exotic buck
- 1 exotic doe
- Up to 4 turkeys per TPWD regulations
- Hogs (unlimited)
Give us a call. We’d be happy to chat with you about the property.
