The Spring Meadows Ranch lease is an annual, family-friendly hunting and recreational lease including a furnished 2 bedroom 1 bath house on 150+ acres in northwest Lampasas county near Goldthwaite for a family group of 3 hunters including children for a total of $14,000 per year plus electricity, propane, and water. This low fenced ranch has a large, high quality, whitetail deer herd on it now because it was game managed under a MLD-3 plan that produced big whitetail bucks in the past. A new MLD now called a LWA plan can be put in place at the agreement of both the hunter group and the owner. The ranch has 70% tree cover, a pond for duck hunting and fishing, a great wet weather creek, 4 locations for hunting blinds with 2 feeders per blind, 4 food plots, and several senderos that were cleared for long range sighting of game animals such as whitetail deer, turkey, hogs, dove, small game, and varmints to enjoy, hunt, harvest, enjoy, and/or photograph.  The hunting group that leases this ranch will have exclusive hunting and recreational rights on this lease year round and will not have to share it with any other hunting group.

The owner of this ranch prefers to lease to one family of 3 hunters and their children or grandchildren, or kinfolk. The ranch has 65% tree cover, 2 ponds for fishing, a creek, 3 hunting blinds, 6 locations for feeders, 3 food plots, and game animals such as deer, turkey, hogs, dove, and small game to enjoy, watch, hunt, harvest, and/or photograph.  The lease includes a 3 bedroom 2 bath single-wide camp house with an extra recreation room and a separate drive-through barn with loft for storing deer feed and hunting equipment. We have a 3166 acre high fenced ranch in northern Maverick Co. We are MLD3, so we can hunt from Sept through February. We are looking for up to 3 hunters that are serious about growing big bucks, & can pass good bucks that are less then 6 1/2 years old. I am the owner & will be the 4th spot on the ranch. I don’t deer hunt, but will take my children hunting. We use most of the profit from the hunting & cattle lease to make improvements in the ranch that will help the animals. If you feel you need to take a trophy buck every year this is not the lease for you. We take our trophies at 6. 5 years old or older. We have cameras at all feed pens & target specific management bucks starting at 3 years old. The hunters will be asked to feed protein $ corn year round, cotton seed from January 15th to November 1. We have 9 feed pens for protein & cotton seed, 8 have 2,000 lb feeders, 1 has a 1000 lb feeder. We have 12 blinds in place with corn feeders. You will need to pay $10,000 plus your share of the feed bill. You can hunt any stand on a 1st come basis. You are allowed 1 trophy, 6 1/2 years or older, & any management buck that we identify from our trail cameras or that fit the management buck criteria for that year. We also have to take does. The number depends on our game survey. We have 6 tanks & 5 water sheds to provide water for the wildlife. Families are welcome. We have a covered cleaning area with walk-in cooler & feed shed. There is a covered, lighted cement area with sink & fire pit to relax after the hunt. You can park a trailer next to it or stay in the old ranch house. We have electricity. Water comes from rainfall catchment off the roof of our house. We are located about 12 miles southeast of Spofford, Tx. You access our ranch by taking a caliche road for 10 miles off FM1572. South Texas Trophy ranch.  Been under intensive management for decades.  Surrounded by big ranches and has deer proof fencing on three sides and the fourth is owned by the same owner and managed in the same manner.  All blinds, feeders and feed pen locations are on the property as well as feed silos, feed trailer, walk in cooler and 4 work vehicles.  Three earthen ponds are on the property in addition to wildlife watering stations at 1/2 mile intervals fed via underground water pipeline.  Only mature 7-8 year old bucks are harvested with live weights normally between 220 and 240 pounds.  Two mobile homes with bunk style bedding with central air/heat and Dish TV.  All protein, cottonseed and corn included in the lease price (last year fed 67 tons protein, 23 tons corn and 22 tons cottonseed).  Seldom have a vacancy most lease members have been on the property for years.  Lease members are expected to help fill feeders, work on blinds etc during Spring, Summer and Fall. 

The property is 9 acres and fully fenced, and is a mix of wooded/brush areas, clearings, 2 caliche pits, and trails. The property has deer that show up at the feeder (deer corn) most days (does and periodically bucks), hogs, turkey, small game like rabbits, and occasional predators. There are also turkey that that feed at an elevated turkey feeder.  Also I am seeing dove and quail on the property. In addition to the feeders there is an elevated hunting blind for a single hunter, located about 35 yards from the deer feeder. The property is relatively small, so a single hunter for each lease period using bow or shotgun is preferred. I will allow 2 people as lessees on a single lease, assuming you will be safely working together. But I only allow one lease at a time (your lease would have exclusive use during the term of the lease). Limit of 1 deer or wild turkey per three-day lease period (or permit limit, whichever is less) but no harvest fees. Must remove the entire animal from the property, no carcasses or animal parts are to be disposed of on the property. There is no guarantee that you will be successful in harvesting an animal, the lease provides an opportunity, not a guarantee of success. Prices are $200 per day per hunter, or $350 per person for 2 consecutive days.

Package hunts for whitetail bucks, does, axis deer and black buck antelope and turkey. 450 high fenced Acres in Texas Hill Country close to Harper Texas. Ranch is rolling hills cleared of all cedar.  Rifle hunting only. Price is per animal based on size of trophy and doe hunting is based on per doe. This is a day hunt lease and it works like this.....you pay $250 hunt fee per day, per person to hunt and if you harvest your animal the hunt fee is deducted from the Harvest fee.  This is a Guaranteed Hunt...you are guaranteed 2 hunts, 1 morning and 1 evening hunt per day to hunt for the animal of your choice and B&C score.  If you are not offered a reasonable shot at the selected animal of your predetermined choice, your hunt is free.  If you are, you only pay the published or agreed to price before the hunt. ( If an animal is wounded, We will try to find it but if it can not be retrieved, it will be counted as a Harvest and the full fee will be applied).   You will be required to make a deposit for the hunt, but it is fully refundable if we do not put you on the selected animal. Whitetail doe hunts available for $250 per doe.. Axis does hunts available for $600 per doe. Cull/Mgmt Bucks $750, Trophy WT hunts quoted upon request, Axis Bucks $2500 and Black buck males $2500. Limited number available so make reservations and deposits early. We have some fine trophy black bucks.  We may also have some trophy black bucks with broken horns that we sell to hunters for only $750.  The black bucks are true trophies and taxidermists can repair or replace horns for very little extra.....well worth the cost if you are looking for a trophy for the wall, and meat in the freezer. This pasture is located 15 miles west of Encinal is a 13,000+ acre pasture of a 50,000+ acre ranch IN THE HEART OF SOUTH TEXAS. Making this low-fenced pasture THE PRIME LOCATION for growing true South Texas Monster Whitetail. .We are currently looking for a couple of Trophy minded hunters that are able to let big deer walk until they’re in reach their MAXIMUM POTENTIAL. This pasture is know for harvesting 170-200+ deer in the last many years. This ranch has been able to grow 200”+ low fence, free range, native genetic whitetail and we plan on continuing this legacy. I have three privately owned ranches between Llano and Mason ranging from 100 acres to 500 acres each. I do not mix parties, so your group will have the entire lease. The price for the smallest pasture is $450 per day for up to 3 hunters, the middle size pasture is $500 per day for up to 4 hunters and the larger pasture is $1200 per day for up to 8 hunters. There is a 3 day minimum hunt. All pastures have cabins with electricity, beds, frig, table, chairs and running water. All have working corn feeders and three sided ground stands with roofs. I allow each hunter to kill 2 bucks in November and either 2 bucks or 1 buck and 1 doe in December. I allow bow hunting during October. The cost for bow hunting is $100 per day per hunter. I do not charge a kill fee. I do not allow 4-wheelers and ask that you only drive on established roads. There are openings available in November and December. Hunters may not live at the property for the duration of the season;  hunting on weekends and holidays.
