Family style lease a little over 4100 acres known in this part of Texas as the historic Gibbons Ranch. We have two openings available at the cost listed. We have 18 blinds, 17 protein feeders mostly 2000 # All Seasons, and multiple corn feeders in place.The picture listed is a management deer that was taken a couple years ago, we are not posting trophy bucks for everybody to see. This lease is a true family atmosphere, not a corporate entertainment facility to bring clients or guests to drink for a full weekend. We have father and sons mostly, guests can be brought late in the year to take a doe or cull or management deer at the core lease groups descretion. The lease is ran by two brothers in their mid 40s, with sons that hunt. The other two core members have sons that hunt as well most weekends. We are looking for a specific type of member, family comes first, no drunks or members that want to show up once, shoot a deer not to be seen again. We have a game manager that has managed the hunting operations since 1990, and the lease managers have been on the ranch as hunters and lease managers since 1997. Brush consists on south Texas brush, huge liveoaks,cedar, and mesquite, and is pretty rough country. It really hunts like its 10k acres.We have a game cooler as well that may be upgraded this year. Members need to have the finances to pick up and extra expense here or there since this lease is pretty much turnkey. Our members for example are business owners, insurance agency owners, CPAs, medical field business owner, real estate broker owners, to name a few. Personalities and fit is crucial to our group, since our lodging and hunting locations are community. Most are all Texas Tech graduates.We want people that fit, not tire kickers.

Lodging is provided with spot know as the Leisure Lodge, which sets on the San Saba River. The ownership group are direct family from Billy Gibbons who founded the ranch in the 1800s. They put in several hundred thousand dollars in remodeling our lodge, its as good of lodging facility as you will find. The ownership group stays in the lodge, from time to time in the offseason, we have it exclusive for 6 months September thru February. We will keep this post up for a short period of time only, as we want to keep group small as possible. Please email me if interested. Our largest deer taken two years ago was 203 5/8, all low fence free range.
